Join Mountain Bike Colombia's Amazon Riders Alliance

Mountain Bike Colombia’s Amazon Riders Alliance connects Alliance partners and cycling communities with our work in the Amazon through journeys shaped by relationship, dignity, deeper awareness, and a growing recognition that the global mountain biking community has a role to play in witnessing and responding to what is happening there today.

The Amazon Riders Alliance was created for Alliance partners who want to share more than a route, a challenge, or a destination. It is an invitation into meaningful journeys in the Amazon shaped by humility, expanded perspective, and a more conscious relationship with remote Indigenous communities, living wilderness, extraordinary wildlife, and the urgent realities unfolding there today.

What Is the Amazon Riders Alliance?

Mountain Bike Colombia’s Amazon Riders Alliance invites Alliance partners to explore the Amazon together. This initiative connects like-minded riders, clubs, groups, and organizations through authentic restorative journeys, emphasizing meaningful experiences over traditional mass tourism. The Alliance promotes a purposeful adventure that broadens perspectives, deepens human connections, and fosters a meaningful relationship with Colombia, especially the Amazon and its Indigenous communities.

Above The Amazon

Why This Exists

The Amazon Riders Alliance offers a meaningful alternative to traditional travel, fostering connections among cycling communities while promoting awareness and understanding of the Amazon and its Indigenous peoples. We invite riders to engage with the landscape and each other in a way that transcends mere movement, encouraging humility and deeper relationships that highlight the importance of these experiences.

Who The Amazon Riders Alliance Is For?

Groups, clubs, shops, and individuals who understand the transformative power of riding to broaden perspectives. Communities that prioritize relationships, dignity, and human connection. Ride leaders committed to creating experiences that transcend the ordinary. Mountain bike, gravel, and adventure-focused groups drawn to both purpose and challenge. Alliance partners who recognize that a meaningful journey can enrich awareness while inspiring movement, communities eager to help riders explore, listen, learn, and deepen their connection to the Amazon, and those who believe the global mountain biking community can become more attuned to the challenges faced by the Amazon and the Indigenous peoples who call it home.

Why Shops Join The Amazon Riders Alliance

The best bike shops do more than just sell bikes.  They help shape culture, values, and the way people move through the world.

Mountain Bike Colombia’s Amazon Riders Alliance was created for shops that want to offer their community something deeper: not simply an adventure, but an experience that can widen perspective, strengthen human connection, and encourage a more conscious relationship with the Amazon at a time when its forests, its communities, and its future are under real pressure.

For the right shop, this is not just a partnership. It is a way to stand for something meaningful.

Offer your community something meaningful

Create a path for the right riders to engage more consciously with the Amazon: its people, its wilderness, its wildlife, and the urgent realities now shaping its future.

Help open a more restorative path

The aim is not promotion for its own sake, but relationship and the possibility of a more thoughtful future shaped by the right kinds of journeys.

Strengthen your role as a values-led community

Show your riders that your shop believes cycling can connect people to something larger than themselves.

Create deeper conversations with staff and customers

The Amazon Riders Alliance gives your community something thoughtful, human, and lasting to gather around.

Partner through shared purpose

We work with shops that connect with the spirit behind this work not just the surface of it.

Why This Work Is Different

Mountain Bike Colombia is not shaped by conventional tourism.

What we do grows out of long-standing human relationships, respect for place, and a commitment to engaging the Amazon in a more thoughtful and restorative way. The bicycle is part of that bridge, but it is not the whole story.

What matters most is what becomes possible through that bridge: deeper awareness, human connection, expanded perspective, and a meaningful encounter with the Amazon as a living reality — its remote Indigenous communities, its immense wilderness, its remarkable wildlife, and the urgent questions shaping its future.

For the right rider, this is not only a journey through landscape. It is also a journey into relationship, perspective, and a more conscious way of seeing at a time when greater awareness, solidarity, and care are deeply needed.

How The Amazon Riders Alliance Works

Begin with a short application

Start by telling us a little about your shop, your riders, and why you feel there may be alignment.

We explore fit and shared values

If your community aligns with the spirit of this work, we discuss what kind of partnership makes sense.

We prepare your partner pathway

Approved partners receive guidance, support materials, and a co-branded path for riders in their community to signup.

You share the invitation with your community

This may happen through staff conversations, customer gatherings, or our Discovery Call Service for a more personal introduction centered on meaningful travel, deeper awareness, and the realities unfolding in the Amazon today.

We guide interested riders from there

When someone from your community feels called to explore further, we take the next steps with care.

The Amazon Riders Alliance Is Not for Everyone

We are selective about who we partner with. The Amazon Riders Alliance is not designed for transactional promotion, mass marketing, or communities that are simply looking to add another travel offering to the list.

It is for Alliance partners who value trust, dignity, deeper awareness, and the possibility that cycling can become a path into a more meaningful relationship with the world. If your community feels aligned with that spirit, we would be honored to begin the conversation.

A Different Kind of Invitation

Some journeys ask very little of us. They entertain us, move us through a place, and leave us largely unchanged.

Others ask us to slow down, pay attention, and come into a more conscious relationship with the people, landscapes, and living realities around us. They ask us not only to explore, but to witness, learn, and see more clearly, especially when the communities and ecosystems before us are living through growing pressure. The Amazon Riders Alliance was created in service of the second kind of journey.

THE AMAZON CULTURAL EMBASSY

Your Group Becomes Part of Something Bigger

When you bring riders on an Amazon expedition with Mountain Bike Colombia, you are stepping into a network of relationships built over five-plus years with Indigenous communities across the Colombian Amazon.

This is not a tour. It is a relationship with people who have chosen to invite others into their territory, their knowledge, and their lives, on their own terms, through fair exchange.

What this means for your group

Alliance partners bring riders who have chosen to travel with intention. The Amazon Humanitarian Expedition is not wilderness tourism. It is a structured mission that puts riders alongside communities facing real pressure from displacement, extraction, and neglect.

When your riders return home, they carry something the Amazon gave them directly. That is what the Amazon Cultural Embassy makes possible.

“We do not give communities a voice. They already have voices. We create space for those voices to be heard.”
